What I'm all about... sort of. I mean within reason. Look, how much can you glean about a person from a website anyway?
"Simple". It's quite a challenge to reduce the elements of design down to the simplest most effective solution, but that's what makes it so interesting and fun! It is my goal to achieve that wonderful balance of beauty and function whenever possible.
fledglingdesign offers graphic, web and interface design and usability consultation. Take a look at my work for more about my unique strengths and skills.
I grew up and went to college in Massachusetts, moved to California in 1992, worked in record stores in Berkeley for an unhealthy amount of time, moved back east to NYC, worked as a research assistant at an investment firm (of all places), got a Mac, took a few computer graphics courses, got back into the idea of actually doing something with my graphics degree, loved New York, but had to leave, moved back west, got hired and laid off from a dot bomb, started doing freelance projects while working for a stint as a Macintosh Tech at the Academy of Art, I now have a beautiful daughter, and live in bucolic Sonoma county.
I used to work with a great bunch of folks at Louddog Corp. in North Beach, San Francisco, but for the past few years I've been freelancing again and I feel very lucky to be able to do so.
